Psalm 34, Wisdom 2:1,12-22, John 7:1-2,10,25-30

The Lord is close at hand

Psalm 34 is traditionally associated with the Lord’s Supper, because of the word ‘taste’. The good news of God’s gracious provision for life has only one proper response – gratitude – Eucharist! The psalmist describes God as having eyes, ears and a face. God hears, delivers, saves, protects, redeems, is close to all who call upon him. This is no distant, disengaged God. This is a God who knows every breath we take and shares every moment of life with us. May you know God’s presence with you today in a deeper way than ever before.
