Wisdom and discernment

Solomon, whose choice we read about today, asked nothing for himself, but for wisdom and a discerning heart to serve his people. How badly we need leaders of this calibre in every sphere of government. Let us pray on this Waitangi Day that we may be blessed by such people here in New Zealand, Aotearoa, and that we may be wise enough to recognise them.
