We shall have mercy from him

Jesus’ word is ‘alive and active: it cuts like any double-edged sword’. He came to call sinners like us, to call us from the darkness that is sin into the light of his love. He was ‘tempted in every way that we are’ and in him we ‘find grace when we are in need of help’. He calls to us and like Levi, we follow him, knowing that he is full of mercy and compassion.
