SAINT CECILIA

Psalm 149, Apocalypse 5:1-10, Luke 19: 41-44

Big boys don’t cry

Jesus wept, not once but many times- for Jerusalem, whose citizens stoned prophets but whom he still loves dearly, and for Martha and Mary. Tears have a purgative value. They release pent-up feelings and cause us to enter wordlessly into the very presence of God. Musical worship often moves us to tears, which allows for an adoration of God without words or images.Give thanks for music and tears in your life.
