Ask

We should never be timid about asking God for our personal needs, no matter how trivial they appear to be. Yes, God already knows what we need, but he still wants us to ask. Today’s question by Jesus “What do you want me to do for you?” shows that God does want to be asked. As PT Forsyth notes “Love loves to be told what it knows already ... it wants to be asked for what it longs to give” (“The Soul of Prayer”). Ask God for what you need today.
