Mortality and immortality

Each of us know that one day we are going to die. But most of us prefer to live in a state of denial of our mortality. But it is only by being aware of our bodily mortality that we can be aware of our spiritual immortality. Awareness of our mortality provides us with a precious perspective about the reality of our existence and its purpose. Our earthly life is but a prelude to, and a preparation for, our eternal life with God. All the ambitions, desires and actions of our human lives should be marinated by that awareness.
