The wonder of God’s love

If the Psalmist, with his very limited understanding of the universe could wonder “What are human beings that you spare a thought for them, or a child of Adam that you care for him?”, how much more should we, with our modern knowledge of the universe, wonder the same? We are tiny life forms on an insignificant planet at the edge of a minor galaxy, in a universe which contains billions of galaxies! How could we possibly be precious and dear to the One who created and controls all that vastness? Oh, the mystery of God’s love!
