Ps.105, Galatians 3:22-29; Luke 11:27-28

“Yes”

Mary would not have been offended by her son’s response. She, more than anyone, heard and honoured the Word of God. Her “Yes” to God’s invitation was the greatest of all human responses to God’s word. Through her “Yes” she became both mother and disciple of the Saviour and, consequently, the most “blessed of all women”. With Mary as our model, we should begin each day by “hearing the Word of God” (reading and reflecting on Scripture) and then “keeping it” (applying the insights so gained to our daily activities). That’s our “Yes”.
