“My mother, my brothers and sisters are those who hear the word of God and act on it.” What word do we hear and act on? There was a man on the train this morning. He was chatting and singing to himself. We could all hear him. Then I realised he was asking – Is this my stop? Where are we? I answered him. He didn’t appear to have heard me. Then, when he got off five minutes later, he unexpectedly said, thanks. How do I hear the word of God through other people?
