Faithfulness

Was Jesus disappointed that those who knew him well took offence at his teachings. He must have been, as we are told he did not work many mighty deeds there. In the Psalm there are phrases “It is for you that I suffer taunts” and “how they taunt and deride me”. Jesus was castigated often in his ministry right up to his death. Saints and martyrs have been too. Can we be steadfast like them?
