A dwelling-place

We all need a home, somewhere to belong, to feel safe. Earthly homes, even the best of them, are fragile, insecure. We have a deep longing within us for our true, lasting home, for God, for heaven (which is the same thing).

I love this psalm, which expresses all our longing, and speaks of there being room for all, for the humble sparrow and the high soaring swallow. In God all find their home. In God our journey and our search will find fulfilment.
