Hundreds of Sparrows

Sparrows, little brown birds, of no particular interest, or so they appear. Yesterday a sparrow flew into my glass window; I picked up the little body, looked at it, and was amazed. Not plain brown but a wonderful mixture of browns and greys creams and mauves. Such soft feathers, such elegant little legs. Perhaps I saw a sparrow as God sees it, a thing of beauty and value; yet we are worth more than hundreds of sparrows. How immensely precious and beautiful each one of us must be in the sight of God. Why should we ever be afraid?
