A place for you

This gospel was read at my mother’s funeral, as it is proclaimed at many.

It is filled with hope and comfort.

I wonder what the ‘place’ looks like. I cannot know, but I imagine it as a heart-room.

A place within divine love and within our memories.

e.e. cummings says, “I carry your heart / I carry it in my heart.”

I can hear God whisper that to me.

Close your eyes.

Still your thoughts.

Perhaps you can hear Love whisper it to you:

“I carry your heart / I carry it in my heart.”
