Honour the sacrifices of the Dead

God accepted the dead in the Book of Wisdom, “as a holocaust.” A significant aspect of such a sacrifice is that it is done for the benefit of the people. Our war dead died counteracting hatred and violence in the world. In remembering their sacrifice, I resolve to put an end to all that works in my heart to separate and alienate people in my own communities – my home and town. By such wee sacrifices may I too build better communities for the benefit of others.
