St Patrick

Luke 10: 1-2, 17-20

St Patrick’s day. On my first St Paddy’s day at St Patricks Primary School in Napier, my mum gave me my deceased nan’s shamrock brooch to wear. I proudly pinned it on to my uniform as a symbol of my faith and culture. It was there to ward off evil, overcome oppression and get rid of snakes. Today Jesus still sends us out to the mission fields. They may be our own family, neighbourhood and parish. You are called and sent. So put on your talisman and get out there with confidence and joy.
