Daniel 3:25, 34-43 Ps. 25, Matthew 18:21-35

No need for a calculator.

Peter was a down-to-earth man. He wanted to get things right so he asked the question of Jesus. How many times do I have to forgive someone who wrongs me? He already had his answer that he thought was reasonable. He was probably prepared to wrangle over the number. Jesus responds with a much bigger number. He asks us to forgive others from the depths of our being time and time again. Lord we pray for the grace to be merciful, to show mercy to ourselves and others.
