Teach me to be generous

We have a serious problem in New Zealand. Many of our children, the elderly and young people are increasingly living in poverty. Housing, food, health care and education are almost impossible to access. Jesus challenges us to follow the law of Moses and the prophets and to hear what he asks of us– to love our neighbour, to share our wealth and ourselves.

Jesus, I pray for the gift to be ridiculously generous to the poor.
