1 Kings 10: 1-10; Psalm 37; Mark 7:14-23.

Christ alone is our wisdom.

God presented King Solomon with a magnificent wisdom gift. Each day I pray to the Holy Spirit for the wisdom that he wishes to give me so that I might be brought to full measure in Christ, my life’s work. St Paul writes that “He alone is our wisdom, power through the Spirit for the hidden self to grow strong.” Like the Psalmist today in Psalm 37, I wish to commit my life to the Lord. If I trust in him, he will act. May my lips speak what is right. May God’s law be in my heart.
