Joy at being healed

Getting a disease like leprosy must have been terrible for the sufferers. As is the case with marginalised people in our own society, their isolation must have made their lives even more miserable than they already were. No wonder the leper Jesus healed rushed out and told everyone of his good fortune – even though Jesus had specifically asked him not to. The wonder and joy of being healed must have been equaled by his amazed delight that another person had cared enough to notice and speak to him. How can I show someone on the margins I care about them?
