1 Samuel 3:1-10, 19-20; Ps 40, Mark1:29-39

“Speak for thy servant hears.”

Samuel’s identification of himself as God’s servant provides us with a template of an ideal relationship with God. He is offering to work for God, his Master, to give Him homage and to do His will. The idea of just doing God’s will seems so simple – but somehow the practice isn’t always as easy. Perhaps today Samuel’s example will make it easier to help our Father with His work today.
