“You must be born anew”

Just as we cannot see the wind, but can feel its effects, the Holy Spirit is also an invisible yet real presence shaping our lives. Christ’s instruction to us that we must be “born anew” is fundamental to our allowing the Holy Spirit to bend us to God’s will. It requires us to let go of our own wishes and honestly act as we pray: Thy will be done on Earth.

Dear God, I give thanks to You for Your patient love in allowing me to be born again in You. “Fill the Earth, bring it to birth, and blow where You will: blow, blow, blow till I be but the breath of the Spirit, blowing in me.”
