1 John 2:22-28; Ps 92, John 1:19-28

We can receive nothing unless it is given to us by God.

Preparing the way for God to come into our conscious lives through baptism is a means of acknowledging God’s presence in all we do. It is also present in everything we see, hear, sense and own … as all creation comes from Him. When contempating the enormity of God’s presence, of His creation, it is not difficult to recognise how little we are and how dependent on Him we are for all aspects of our lives, including life itself. Give thanks to God, for He is good.
