Meeting people on their own ground

Here the Sadducees, whose faith focused on the teaching of the Torah, the first five books of our Old Testament, set out to demonstrate the absurdity of the idea of the resurrection of the body. They considered the Torah did not teach it. Jesus, however, uses part of the Torah to argue that God is God of the living, not of the dead. Therefore, he concludes, the resurrection is a reality. This may now seem a rather peculiar dispute. Yet it shows that Jesus spoke to people in terms they understood. Do we do that when we share our faith?
