Our Spiritual Powerhouse

It’s easy to become a spiritual couch potato. To spend one’s time in prayer, reflection and discernment, gaining deep insights, experiencing times of intimacy with a loving God, listening to God speaking – but then not doing anything by way of response. That’s equivalent to saying “Yes, Lord” and not doing what he asks. That’s worship without deeds. Faith without works. May our spiritual life not become an end in itself but rather a launching pad, an energy powerhouse providing the motivation and inspiration for all our daily activities.
