Hold firm and take heart

There are times in lives of all of us when we are overtaken by some disaster or calamity and we feel lost and terrified. The exhortation of the psalmist is just what we need to hear in those difficult times. “Hope in him, hold firm and take heart.” Paul reminds us that whatever happens – alive or dead – we can live united with Christ who has died for us so that we might live.

“The Lord is my light and my help; whom shall I fear?”
