Never mind who I am; think what I have done

Moses is incredulous that he has to return to his people with a far-fetched story about a foolhardy adventure told him by a God who will not reveal his name, except the obvious Yahweh ‘I am who I am’. YHWH is the short-hand form of the ‘Tetragrammaton’. Too holy to be used by Jewish people who always use a circumlocution. The RC church in deference does not use it in worship either. The point is the same for the Christian God: look what I have done in Jesus - That’s who I am.
