The seed in rich soil

Jesus explains this parable in detail. The seed of God’s word is irresistible in one sense, but in an individual case can be a fragile flower. Whether it flourishes depends on the conditions in which it finds itself. Rich soil for God’s word comes from daily prayer, and practical kindness, in ‘people with noble and generous hearts’ (Lk) who provide a welcome for the word. What kind of habitual welcome do I provide?
