Jacob’s limp

This unusual story tells of a physical struggle from which Jacob seems to emerge victor but wounded. He senses the supernatural character of his adversary and extracts a blessing from him. Our journey with God will involve struggles with God’s will, and our own weakness. God will bless us for leaning on his strength at these times. Our scars will be a reason for pride.
