Private prayer

There are various kinds of prayer: liturgical prayer, group prayer, and private prayer. We need all three, but Jesus today is reminding us of the importance of that quiet time of private prayer. I know perfectly well how vital this is, but I also know how easily I can neglect it, allowing other, seemingly more pressing needs to eat into my prayer time. Perhaps you find the same. Can we resolve today to be more faithful in prayer, and ask God’s help in keeping our resolutions.
