St. Anthony of Padua

2 Cor.6:1-10, Ps.98, Matt.5:38-42

An impossible task

Looking at today’s readings it would be easy to be discouraged. It’s just too difficult, how could I ever live up to these standards? By myself I certainly can’t, but St. Paul provides a clue ‘do not neglect the grace of God you have received’.

St. Anthony, as we all know, is renowned for finding things that are lost. I’m sure he would be willing to find and support my weak faith and resolution if I ask him, so that will be my prayer today.
