‘What does he mean?’

The disciples were puzzled, they simply did not understand what Jesus was saying to them. How often, in our lives, we feel the same. Why does God permit earthquakes, floods, untimely deaths? Why do our good intentions turn out wrong? God’s ways and thoughts are not our ways and are often beyond our understanding. This does not mean we should not ask the questions, but does mean we need a strong faith to accept those unanswered questions and be willing to live with the uncertainties. A good starting point for prayer today.
