Jeremiah 7: 23-28; Psalm 95;
Luke 11: 14-23

When Jesus cast a devil out of a dumb man and gave him back his speech he was maliciously slandered. He must be in league with the devil. Today’s Gospel indicates Jesus’ reply. The kingdom of God is here. Sufferers are healed, body and soul. How often do I think the worst of others? How often do I repeat gossip, impute low motives to those I dislike? Those not with Jesus are against him. No place for neutrality. A person is either on the way or in the way. Where do I stand?
