Deuteronomy 4: 1, 5-9; Psalm 147B; Matthew 5: 17-19.

If you love me, keep my Commandments.

It is a pleasure to come across families where children have learned and say their prayers, where they know the difference between right and wrong and (usually) act accordingly. I gave seven-year old Angela ‘The Beginner’s Bible’ to read, selected Bible stories, larger print, beautifully illustrated, quite the best Bible for 4-8 year olds. Moses commends the Israelites for keeping the Lord’s commandments. “Make them your own. No other people is as wise and prudent as this great nation.” (Deuteronomy: 6). Angela read about Moses and the Ten Commandments. She read the whole Bible in three weeks.
