Be compassionate.

To be a compassionate person means that I take on board the sufferings of others, empathise with them, understand what they are going through, and, as it were, walk in their shoes. The Gospels speak of the great compassion of Jesus. When he saw the crowds he had compassion on them because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He healed their sick, fed hungry thousands with a little bread and a few fish, restored sight to blind men, brought back to life the deceased son of the widow of Nain.
