Following and judging

Elisha is called to follow in the footsteps of the prophet Elijah. We are called to follow Christ. But following Christ is not easy. It demands a heart wholly committed to him no matter what the world throws our way. It is then that our desire to follow will reveal its true quality. Nor are we to condemn those who reject Jesus. After all, he did not come to condemn the world but to save it. Remember, he rebuked such a desire to condemn those who rejected him. He simply teaches us to move on and continue our witness.
